Workshop

Last year for our main prize we gave a year's subscription to a Minecraft Server. This year we thought it would be even better to teach the kids how to install their own Minecraft server. A Raspberry Pi is a good way to install a dedicated server without paying too much money on equipment. The Pi can be used for a multitude of other projects and is a fun way to learn about computers.

This workshop will teach the kids about Raspberri Pi, how to use command line and installing a Minecraft server.

Requirements

  • A laptop with Minecraft installed
  • A Minecraft account
  • Access to the terminal / shell / commandline
  • OS can be Windows, Mac OS X or Linux
  • SSH installed in terminal
